7th Biennial 1992
These are two of my favorite floral pastels that I have done. Apparently the curator of the 1992 Seventh Idaho Biennial Exhibition at the Boise Museum of Art liked them too.
In his Juror’s Statement - Michael Auping, Chief Curator, Albright-Knox Art Gallery, singled out these two pieces stating:
“Other works I took note of were…. Ginna Lagergren’s vibrant pastels of poppies.”
There were 121 pieces by 105 artists in the show and of those he only chose a handful to mention. I felt very honored by that. - G.P.L.
